Disability and Rehabilitation

Disability & rehabilitation provides advice, support and treatment for children, young people and adults with life long disabilities, such as learning difficulties, autism, Asperger syndrome, acquired brain injuries and mobility impairments.

Disability and rehabilitation also offers support to relatives and staff who come into contact with these children, young people and adults.

The unit’s specialist services often complement support from other sources, such as the municipality or primary care. The goal of rehabilitation is that a person with disabilities should be as independent as possible and be able to take part in society.

Disability &rehabilitation also includes an interpreting center, which provides sign language interpreters and speech-to-text assistance.
